WEDDINGS ARE MORE EXPENSIVE IN MANY COUNTRIES AS COMPARED WITH PRESENT AND PAST

People nowadays earn primarily for bragging and then for a living. And weddings are an event where people invite their whole families to be a part of , as they start the next phase of their life. But, today, it is becoming more expensive in various countries as compared with the past.

The main reason behind this is the trend of the big fat wedding that the adults want to experience like many of their friends or relatives do. It has become a kind of competition on who spends more on their weddings and make it more of a happening week for their relatives and friends. The fact of a simple wedding now seems to be monotonous and this is reason the children are ready to spend their parent’s life long savings in just a single day or a week. Destination weddings is another trend that is taking a lead day by day where the people go out of town to get married.

According to me, it is completely useless and an immature take to spend so much money just to satisfy the knowns. Big weddings also lead to large wastage of food which could otherwise be a charity to the ones in need. Decorations of real flowers shall be avoided to preserve the environment. This might have a positive impact on some sectors of the economy in terms of money but on the whole, it leads to nothing but clear cut wastage of the lifelong savings of a person. Dowry shall be strictly prohibited and lawful action shall be taken against its practitioners.

Concluding, I would like to say that the younger generation needs to stop thinking about the society and start thinking about their families and their actual supporters in the time of need.
