A year ago, you lent your favorite book to a friend who you thought would enjoy it. Unfortunately, your friend has forgotten to return it. The book has sentimental value to you as it had been presented by your grandmother.

A year ago you lent your favorite book to a friend | IELTS GT Letter

Write a letter to your friend. In the letter:

Instructions

Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

Begin your letter as follows: Dear ________

Dear Damini,

How are you? Hope you are doing well. I am just writing to let you know that my novel is with you.

I know that it has been a long time since I wrote to you, but believe me I was busy with the work. From the last time we met, I remember that you were thinking about venturing into a Marketing business. So, have you done anything about it? Also, how is rest of the family? I heard that your young one is learning Chess now!

Do you remember? Last time when we met, I gave you my “ISAKGAI” novel. I think it is still with you. If you have forgotten, let me refresh your memory. It has colorful front cover with “ISAKGAI” written in bold letters, and at the back is the photo of the writer.

My grandfather has lost his copy of this same book, and he wants mine now. Actually, this book was gifted by my grandmother to both of us, so it has a sentimental value as well. I would not have asked this book back, if my grandfather did not force me to. Can you please return this book by Monday?

I hope to see you soon!

Best Regards,

Shreya
