Writing Task 1:
The charts below show the protein and calorie intake of people in different parts of the world. Compare and contrast.
Recent IELTS Exam 25th March, writing task 1 with answers
The bar charts illustrate the average intake of protein and calories in four countries, namely India, East Africa, Latin America, and North America. It is evident that North America had the highest average intake of both protein and calories, while India had the lowest.
In terms of the average intake of protein, North America had the highest rate of 80%, with 62% derived from animal fats and meats and 18% from other sources. Latin America had the second highest proportion at 45%, consisting of 32% animal protein and 13% other proteins. East Africa was third with 31%, composed of 16% animal protein and 15% other proteins. India had the lowest average intake of protein at 28%, with 13% from animal sources and 15% from other sources.
In terms of the average intake of calories, North American individuals had the highest, with a figure of 3500. Latin America was second with 2750, followed by East Africa at 2250 and India at 2000.
Writing Task 2:
Question:
Some people claim that public museums and art galleries will not be needed because people can see historical objects and works of arts by using a computer. Do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
In today‘s increasingly competitive business world, it is not uncommon to find senior managers earning significantly more than their other workers. While some people argue that this is a positive thing, I disagree.
On one hand, higher salaries for senior managers could be seen as a reward for their hard work and dedication. For example, these managers have often worked their way up the corporate ladder and have earned their higher salaries through experience and merit. Furthermore, it can be argued that the extra money could be used to motivate and inspire these employees to continue to excel.
On the other hand, however, I believe that there is a danger of a widening gap between senior management and other workers in a company. This could lead to feelings of resentment and dissatisfaction among the other employees, who may feel that they are not adequately rewarded for their efforts. It could also lead to a sense of disconnect between the leaders and the rest of the staff, which could damage morale and productivity.
In conclusion, I believe that while there should be a difference in salaries between senior managers and other staff, this should not be so great that it creates a sense of disparity within the company. If the gap is too wide, it could lead to a lack of motivation and a breakdown in communication between management and staff.
